NEW YORK (Billboard) - Country legend George Jones has raided the archives for his next album, "Burn Your Playhouse Down: The Unreleased Duets," which features 12 collaborations with the likes of Keith Richards and Dolly Parton.
Most of the tracks are leftovers from Jones' 1994 release "The Bradley Barn Sessions," which corralled such diverse stars as Richards, Mark Knopfler and Vince Gill. The new set will be issued on August 19 via Jones' own Bandit Records label.
Richards duets with Jones on the title track, Knopfler on "I Always Get Lucky With You," and Gill on "Selfishness in Man." Parton sings on "Rockin' Years," which did not make the cut for Jones' 1991 album "Friends in High Places."
Other guests include Shelby Lynne ("I Always Get It Right With You"), Ricky Skaggs ("She Once Lived Here"), Jones' ex-wife Tammy Wynette ("Lovin' You, Lovin' Me"), and their daughter Georgette Jones ("You and Me and Time").
